Singer, Songwriter, Guitarist

J. D. Haring

A "flat-picker" a "finger picker", a "curb-level philosopher" and a poet.
Born into and grown out of his "Hillbilly" roots where the grass is "slightly blue".
Truly Americana.

So Do I   words & music by J. D. Haring

What I see is a long road comin’,

Voices singin’ and guitars strummin’

Won’t comfort all of me & hide the pain.

Guess I’m headed, I don’t know where,

And for the first time, I don’t care.

I’m all through tryin’ to figure out this game.

Where we’ve been & where we’re goin’ to,

What we’ve had & what we’ve been through,

Doesn’t seem to ease my troubled mind.

Guess I’m wanderin’ aimlessly around,

Don’t know if I’m up or down,

Or just blowin’ out my ears through my behind.

Chorus:        Life goes on & time goes by,

And I know sometimes yo cry.

Life goes on & time goes by,

And I know sometimes you cry, well, so do I.

Maybe no one understands,

Maybe I can’t meet demands,

& what’s fair to me might not be fair to you.

Well, I can be lost & I can be found,

I can swim or I can drown, but,

Nevertheless it’s mine for me to do.
