J. D. Haring

A "flat-picker" a "finger picker", a "curb-level philosopher" and a poet.
Born into and grown out of his "Hillbilly" roots where the grass is "slightly blue".
Truly Americana.

Copenhagen Blues      words & music by J. D. Haring

The sky turned almost blue today, what an unusual sight.

An overdue &  welcome change, from the usual, almost white.

The time is passing slower now, & I'm ready to be gone,

But here I sit for two more weeks, & then I'm movin' on.

Chorus: And I'm missin' you a little,no, I'm, missin' you a lot.

Just put me in the middle of, that red and orange sky,

Pinon trees & purple sage, pastel desert hues,

Saddle up & ride away, these Copenhagen blues.

Civilized &  lovely here, or nydelig as they say.

A thousand years, these people lived this hyggelig Danish way.

The time is passing slower now, & I'm ready to be gone,

But here I sit for two more weeks, & then I'm movin' on.

Everybody loves me here, & I love them right back.

Always glad to see me, but I think it’s time to pack.

The time is passing slower now, & I'm ready to be gone,

But here I sit for two more weeks, & then I'm movin' on
